Learn to Swim Programme Assessments - Important Notice
Swimmers will be assessed for the purpose of recording his or her status within the Learn to Swim Programme (LTSP). There are specific criteria set out here in the LTSP that swimmers must meet before progressing from one group to another.
The assessors must and do take extreme notice of the skills and confidence levels of the children during the assessment.
Most importantly, if the swimmer had achieved the skill level but is unwilling / not confident enough / not tall enough to work efficiently in the next level group HE OR SHE WILL NOT MOVE ON. NO IFS BUTS OR MAYBES, the water is too dangerous an environment and the group too active for the under qualified.
Please appreciate that we only have YOUR CHILDS health/safety and personal comfort at heart when implementing these criteria.
CLICK HERE FOR THE NEW LTSP GROUPS AFTER ASSESSMENT OF 1st & 2nd March 2008
Assessment days were held over the weekend of the 1st/2nd March with 101 children going through their paces, many progressing to the next level, while those that didn't were reminded that they must continue to work hard to achieve the standard required.
